Trading System Signals for September 17, 2026
While the Nasdaq 100 futures were up around 500 points at one point, the range from 11:30 am EST to 4;15 pm EST was less than 100 points. The market, during the day session, is stubbornly contained by option selling. The market also remains stubbornly in the August 4th range. This is the longest the market has remained this rangebound around a single day's range as narrow as the 2.48% range.
In the Nasdaq 100 index, there are three other periods of time when the market has remained within a one days range for 16 of the next 30 bars.
The other three are:
• April 4, 2014 — 3.72% range
• June 9, 2017 — 4.24%
• October 29, 2018 — 6.06%
• June 9, 2017 — 4.24%
• October 29, 2018 — 6.06%
August 4th is the narrowest at 2.48%. This is truly unique.
There have been some opportunities if we include the night session such as NightShift NQ and Soybeans Swing.
