Trading System Signals on 08-28-2026 and Drawdown Entry Alerts

STRATEGY UPDATE | AUGUST 28, 2026

Trading System Signals for August 28, 2026

The VIX hit the lowest levels on the year today at 14.13 with extremely sloppy price action that is persisting in  August for longer than we typically see.

Monday is the last day of August and Tuesday is the first day of September. This is one of the longest extended periods of "toneless price action" we have seen in recent years. We anticipated a "second act" of the July 30-August 4th move either up or down. We have only seen back and forth slow grinding price action since August 4th.

The price action gives us really good drawdown entry alerts. The market cycles can cycle between difficult price action and favorable price action. The price action has been unfavorable for an extended period of time.

The current drawdown for the Three System Portfolio after today is 10,230 out of 21,135. The other portfolios will be updated in the Portfolio Metrics tool over the weekend and we will send an update. Drawdowns and runups can change quickly and we have seen one day moves recover two weeks of drawdown.
