Trade Signals on July 17, 2026

The flashy sell off last Friday (7/10) and Monday (7/13), ended up being indicative of the trend for this week. The Nasdaq 100 futures Friday close was about 700 points lower than its Monday's close. The lows yesterday took out the range of the wedge that was formed and traded down to May 5th levels.

It's been a choppy downtrend with a hesitancy to trend lower.

It's not possible to determine if:

1.) the breakout of the summer lows will continue and accelerate
2.) the market will rebound to the trendline before continuing a choppy move lower 
3.) the market will now move up and take out new highs

We maintain a long-short day trade approach with the portfolio models to take advantage of different opportunities in the market.

The more the market pulls back right now, the greater a rally could be if the underlying trend is still higher. Bear market rallies can also provide some massive long trade opportunities as well if the underlying trend is down. A strategy like Gap Continue 2020 and Open Range or Open Range 2026 along with some of our other trend strategies have the potential to capture 500-point moves on market rallies.

V-Reversal is there to capture the mean reversion moves that move back and forth. V-Reversal ATS finished strong this week with 4 positive days in a row on Tuesday - Friday.

Open Range 2026 captured a 750+ point short on June 5th. This strategy along with some of our other trend strategies have the potential to capture sharp sell offs.
